Electrostatic painting (powder coating)

“AlfaVega” SRL uses non-polluting and environmentally friendly technology, in an electrostatic painting workshop built in 2002. The workshop has conveyer systems, powder coating booths, Nordson powder coating guns and Gema powder coating guns. We have coating booths equipped both with automatic and manual paint application.

The powder coating guns are up-to-date, generation 2004, ensuring a controlled coating thickness from 30 mm to 100 mm.

The polymerization furnace is an U-shape tunnel, with automatic temperature control, with acoustic alarm in case of burner damage or temperature dropping under the specified limit.

The oven parameters for paint layer polymerization are controlled and adjusted at least twice a year, so that our products are always aesthetically perfect while having a high durability. The degree of polymerization is permanently checked with polymerization tests.

Surfaces are prepared by immersion, using two alkaline cleaning and a phospho-degreasing with iron phosphate. The painting process being strictly controlled we obtained a very adherent iron phosphate layer, resisting in salt fog for 400 - 600 h, neutral salt fog (resistant to red rust - the resistance depending on the phosphate-paint system).

Bath concentration is maintained by daily chemical analyses and confirmation after completing. Performing electrostatic painting for “Electrolux” Romania and “Dacia Renault” we apply an efficient monitoring and quality control in accordance with ISO 2001 system.

The quality of starting material is ensured by selecting the suppliers and having specific methods of taking delivery. Thanks to our experience we can think out in short time new technologies, depending on customer’s demands.
